A lead generator is responsible for the researching and making initial contact with new business leads for the growth of the business. The lead generator is expected convert outbound dialed leads into qualified appointments and pass these appointments on to the relevant solution architects. This position has immense growth potential depending on the success of the incumbent including appetite to develop.


Responsible for making outbound calls on a daily basis to create interest in products and services

  • Attend to telephone queries.
  • Work closely with the solution architects to ensure exploratory appointments are actioned.
  • To convert the calls to new business leads.
  • To inform potential clients on the company’s products and services.
  • Advise on software features and how they can be applied to generate value within the client’s business.
  • Use company databases to gain potential leads.
  • Act as an ambassador for the business, and promote its service.
  • Provide professional and exceptional client service in all interactions with potential clients.
  • Build relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Deal with clients in a professional manner at all times aligned to company’s brand values.
  • Ensure service is prompt, polite and professional standards are kept.
  • Assist with other departments as required.
  • Refer to senior team member for advice and support.
  • Attend all staff meetings and training sessions as and when required.


  • A minimum of 3 year sales experience;
  • Experience in Software as a Service sales is highly advantageous;
  • Previous experience with CRM’s and management software;
  • Self-starter;
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiating skills;
  • Detail orientated;
  • Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team;
  • Persuasive and goal-oriented;
  • Advanced computer literacy – this is important!;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • The ability to call, connect, and interact with potential customers;
  • Able to professionally and confidently communicate with executives;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills;
  • The ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines;
  • Excellent time management and organization
  • Positive attitude: think creatively and laterally;
  • Reliable internet access at home; an

  • 2-5 years’ quota carrying sales experience
  • 2-5 years’ office automation sales experience
  • Experience and working knowledge of CRM systems
  • Demonstrable track record of over-achieving quota
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
